New Feature: Saved Results Library

We’ve just added a quality-of-life update to LocustCompare called the Saved Results Library.

Previously, every time you refreshed the page or wanted to compare a new test against a baseline, you had to find and re-upload the original CSV files. This update solves that by allowing you to store parsed test results directly in your browser.

How it works

The functionality relies on your browser’s Local Storage. This means you can keep a history of your test runs and pull them up for comparison instantly.

Key capabilities:

  • Save & Persist: Store uploaded CSVs so they survive a page refresh or browser restart.
  • Manage: Rename files to something meaningful (e.g., “Release-v2.1” instead of generic stats.csv) or delete old runs.
  • Preview: View the raw data of any saved file in an AG Grid table before using it.
  • Compare: Select any stored file as your “Baseline” or “Current” test set without re-uploading.

🔒 Privacy and Data Persistence

It is important to note that no data is sent to any server.

The library uses your browser’s storage API. The files live 100% on your machine. However, this comes with one technical caveat:

⚠️ Important: Because the data is stored in the browser, clearing your browser’s cache/site data will wipe your library.

Backups (Export/Import)

To handle the limitation mentioned above, or if you simply want to move your results to another computer, We added an Export feature.

You can export your entire library as a single JSON file. This is useful for:

  1. Backups: Saving your history before clearing browser cache.
  2. Sharing: Sending a specific set of comparison files to a team member.

The feature is available now on the main dashboard. Let us know if you run into any issues with storage limits or file handling.
